The Halifax Thunderbirds are Starting Their Season Next Month

We might not have an NHL or CFL team, but that won’t stop us from playing lacrosse.

The Halifax Thunderbirds will start their lacrosse season with a home opener on Sat. December 7. They’ll be facing off against the Calgary Roughnecks.

Playing in the National Lacrosse League (NLL), the Thunderbirds’ season consists of 18 games total and will run from December until April. Although the Thunderbirds made it to the playoffs last year, they unfortunately lost in the quarterfinals.

Here’s to hoping for gold this year.
